Finally going

We left at 5.30am and headed for the Brookton Highway, but were stopped by the area that had been burnt out with the latest fires. We had to turn around and go down the Albany Highway and cut across to Pingelly. It turned out that this was a very pretty drive and we really enjoyed it. There was even water in the creeks we passed. We were also seeing evidence of the latest cyclone that came down from the northwest. Coming into Pingelly there were hundreds of trees down beside the road and a few roofs blown off. boy Australia is really getting a beating weatherwise. We hope to get to Norseman via Hyden today to catch up with our friends Mark and Glenys Tobiasson where we will stay the night.
